Bear and Fox Provisions: A Welcoming Daily Destination in Tannersville, NY

Bear and Fox Provisions: A Welcoming Daily Destination in Tannersville, NY

No matter what life throws at her, there are 3 things Jenae DiNapoli will not go without: Great Coffee, Delectable Food, and Beautiful Flowers. That’s precisely what she and Casey Smart provide as they welcome regulars and first-timers to their eclectic and authentic storefront in the Catskill Mountain Village of Tannersville – delivering Quality, Value and Joy.

Bear and Fox Provisions

Reminiscent of the ‘Provisioners’ so prevalent in rural towns around the turn of the 20th century, Bear and Fox offers the essentials for a good day in today’s world – comfortable surroundings, exceptional coffee, pastries, paninis, soups, groceries, and gifts.

Make-Your-Own-Bouquet BarOriginally from Carson City, NV, Jenae’s first experience of the Hudson Valley came when she studied Technical Theatre at SUNY Purchase – immediately falling in love with the river and the Catskill Mountains.  She also thrived on going into NYC and savoring the simple pleasures of great coffee and comfort foods.  She ultimately arrived in Tannersville taking an events coordination position with the Deer Mountain Inn.  It was there that she met the co-owner of Bear and Fox Provisions, DeeDee Patton.

The two set out to make their business a place where customers could regularly enjoy great products at affordable prices – and that all came down to quality and accessibility.  From arguably the best espresso I’ve ever had (at only $3) to imaginatively delicious pastries for morning or afternoon, to hearty soups and sandwiches, the fare inside never disappoints.

A wonderful selection of teas, pastas, soaps, and gift items awaits your perusal as you explore the comfortable surroundings and a Make-Your-Own-Bouquet Bar features seasonal fresh-cuts and dried blooms during the non-growing seasons.

The type of place you can make your regular breakfast and lunch stop, Bear and Fox draws in the growing number of new visitors venturing up Route 23A to Greene County mountaintop destinations. Plus, they’re open 7 days!
