Marie’s Café is a new business in the former Cedar Terrace motel, now called The Terrace, located at 665 Main Street in Cairo. The café offers home-style cooking for lunch and dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with an emphasis on American comfort food in a family atmosphere.

The Café officially announced their grand opening the weekend of June 13. The old-time ice cream section of the café is also operational, and the look and feel is as generations of tourists remember the place.

The café hosts themed parties, weddings and a monthly Open Mic night on the third Friday of every month.

Marie’s is offering an all you can eat pasta Friday through Sunday. Adults $9.95, children under 12 $5.95 and under 5 are free.

Marie’s Café is the first step in the revitalization of the property into a multi-faceted business area.
