Hammo’s Brewpub & Lodge In Hensonville Set to Open August 15

A new brewery featuring seven craft beers is set to open on August 15, 2015.

Located just outside Windham, Hammo’s Brewpub & Lodge is a dog-friendly establishment featuring a brewery, restaurant and inn. Hammo’s, which takes their name from the nickname of owner Gordon Hamilton, is located in the former Horton Smith House, an 1865 building on Goshen Road. Front Desk Manager, Katie Fields’ husband, Ryan heads the operation. Ryan began brewing beer out of their home six years ago. In February, the couple decided to relocate to Greene County from Schenectady where they were able to fulfill their dream of opening their own brewery.

The brewery will offer seven beers during their grand opening: a black IPA, an imperial amber, a blonde ale, a double blonde ale, an American stout, a West Coast-style IPA and a pale wheat.

Hammo’s is the second new brewery to open in Greene County this summer, following Angela’s Pizzeria & Brewery in Catskill, which launched their Brewery in June.

Hammo’s will also feature a variety of hearty meal options. The menu selection ranges from unique pub foods like beer cheese soup, duck wings and a variety of burgers to 5 versions of mac and cheese, various flatbreads and raw oysters. The restaurant will also feature a full bar of wines and spirits.

The brewery and restaurant is also a pet-friendly lodge. In fact, the Inn is so dog-friendly that they offer a 5% discount to guests who bring their dog with them! The Inn features 12 available rooms on the second floor. While the third floor is still under construction, it will eventually be transformed into 10 hostel-style rooms, with shared bathrooms.

So round up your canine friends and schedule your stay at Hammo’s Brewpub & Lodge. Don’t forget to try out their various craft beers while you’re there!

Hammo’s is located at 39 Goshen Road, Hensonville, NY.
